Sport Touring Motorcycle Club is an all-brands motorcycle club that emphasizes the "sport" in sport-touring. We ride most every Sunday, year-round, as long as it's over 40 degrees and the roads are dry.

We ride at a spirited pace, but we pride ourselves on having a high safety-awareness and always ride non-competitively.  Our riding rules are designed to maximize both enjoyment and safety, and enable our rides to be fun for riders of different skill levels.  In fact, our most important rule is to "ride your own ride" - meaning that each rider rides at a pace that is comfortable for him or her.

STMC invites non-members to join us for Sunday rides, though you first must contact the club before riding up on Sunday morning.  (See the Frequently Asked Questions for specific contact info.)  Experience has taught us that properly setting expectations will help make your first STMC ride both safe and enjoyable.

All motorcycles on STMC rides must have good tires, brakes, and current legal paperwork.  In addition, all riders are required to wear Proper Protective Gear in the form of helmet, motorcycle jacket, riding pants, boots and gloves. We do not make exceptions to the PPG requirement.

STMC in-season rides ( April thru Nov. ) meet at 9:00 am from 4 convenient starting locations rotated weekly in: Alpine, Bedminster, Denville and Mahwah New Jersey.
